Finishing a Lariat Necklace

A lariat necklace is defined as a necklace without a clasp. Wear lariats either tied or wrapped in a number of ways, creating a variety of looks. There is no right or wrong way to wear or make a lariat.

Make with any bead/chain/wire wrapped loop combination. Finish the ends with a focal bead, tassel or pendant of your choice.

If you are making a lariat with jewellery wire, finish the ends as you would when attaching a clasp, eg Basic Stringing and Tassels - Finishing With Crimps.

Do not finish by just crimping the wire with a crimp after the beads as it will loosen and/or come off eventually.
